Nancy Oswald, age 86, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Services in celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Monday, March 20th at Weerts Funeral Home, Kimberly at Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport, where her family will greet friends from 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the American Cancer Society.

Nancy was born April 6, 1930 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Paul and Beulah Mueller. She graduated from Rock Island High School in 1948. She was united in marriage to Ronald Oswald at the Milan Presbyterian Church on August 6, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2005. Nancy was active in Girl Scouts serving as Leader and consultant for many years. She was a long time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the Mississippi Valley Blood Bank at CASI. She retired from Thoms-Prostler in 1991. She enjoyed going to lunch with friends, traveling, reading, playing cards and Bingo.

Survivors include a son, Bill Oswald of Blue Grass; a daughter, Gail (Ron) Krapp of Bettendorf; grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Troutwine, Jeff (Courtney) Oswald, Mike (Christie) Krapp, and Kelly (Alex) Nitzman; great-grandchildren, Devan Troutwine, Kaylee Oswald and CoreyLee and Aytumn Birdsley.
